Oh haaaiiiii

We guess we should formally introduce ourselves to the wonderful world of hockey blogging.

We're two Leaf fans (we know, we set ourselves up for depression and sadness) living in Toronto and attending the University of Toronto, studying shit that makes us even more stressed out than a trade deadline or a salary cap.
Vanessa is majoring in English and history and Melissa is doing a joint program with Sheridan College for journalism.

We tried to make a long story out of the short story of how this blog came to be, but we didn't think you'd enjoy bits about flying aliens.
After getting some inspiration, it was basically 2 a.m and we decided to start a Leafs blog. End of story.

So, to reiterate, incase you missed it, we're going to blog about the Leafs and throw in some Pittsburgh Penguins chatter in there, because they're basically our second team. Melissa saw Sidney Crosby once and almost died. As for Vanessa, because of Jordan Staal, she's developed an interest in sod. No lie.

We know this isn't exactly the most ideal time to start a blog; the Penguins just won the Cup (HELLS FUCKING YES TO THAT BITCHES), so the 08/09 season is officially over, and our season (Leafs season) ended in like, fucking April, so we don't exactly have games to recap or shit to write about. But as always, in the NHL, there's stuff going on. We'll probably blog the awards, which we are extremely angry about because they're not in Toronto this year. We'll probably blog the draft too and whatever else goes on this summer.

We're also planning to:
a) stalk Luke Schenn this summer at a Leafs hockey camp (we're kind of overly obsessed, but you can't blame us...it's all his fault and the Toronto media)
b) road trip it to Thunder Bay for Jordan Staal's day with the Cup (even though none of us drive...we'll find a way)
c) Basically do a "Follow the Cup '09" everywhere it goes. Yeah bitches, even Russia...we'll spend our money on our tickets instead of textbooks or tuition.



Oh, and just some random disclaimers...

Obviously the pictures and shit we post isn't always necessarily going to be ours, but if something is original, FUCKING CREDIT US.

Oh, and although we LOVE hockey (no really, we actually LOVE it...we whisper sweet nothings to it while it's on TV), we DO have a life outside of it, and, OMG, it can sometimes get in the way. Case and point: we're not going to remember if the Leafs jersey is stitched 89765 times all around or 9896584 times all around because we have better shit to worry about. So don't fucking flip shit if we get something wrong about hockey. Nobody is perfect, so just deal with it.

ONE LAST THING WE PROMISE: If we miss anyone calling us puckbunnies because we were too busy ACTUALLY WATCHING HOCKEY, then tough shit. We don't ogle over the players, we ogle over the game.
